We aim to support new African migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to discover/find their space in the Australian society and fully integrate.

Newly arrived migrants and refugees in Australia learn to adapt to a new set of culture and society systems that are different from their previous experience. This new experience has a lot of complexities that are sometimes enormously demanding.

To many, it is easy to know how to use a gas cooker, but some of the new settlers arrive in Australia with no such knowledge, hence they can live hungry for days, just because they don’t know how to use the gas cooker.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE PROVIDING

• Casework services to newly arrived refugees,
• Self-reliance and social integration support to migrants,
• Integration and access to community and employment support,
• Computer literacy classes and career guidance workshops.
• Cultural transition programs,
• Information sessions on different aspects of life in Australia, including health, housing, financial management, legal affairs, cultural sensitivities, etc.
• Home visits to support families with their basic needs such as operating a gas cooker, shopping, mental health etc.
• Referrals to others services including health services and domestic violence victims when needed just to mention a few.
