WHO WE ARE
The Great Lakes Agency for Peace and Development International (GLAPD or ’glah-ped’) is a non-for-profit, charitable organization that supports migrants, refugees and asylum seekers by making positive social and economic impacts in their lives through regional employment support and migrant settlement services.
We aim to facilitate better living standards for migrants and refugees in Australia and support them while fully integrating.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to improve the lives of migrants and refugees by affording them a purposeful life that alleviates unemployment and social isolation, celebrates their contributions to Australia, and supports them to become fully participating citizens economically and socially in Australia.

OUR IMPACT
We have successfully resettled 158 people in regional Australian areas
and have supported 900 cases of new migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
Community cohesion and social integration activities have brought together more than 4500 people in the last 5 years.
